Mission & Vision

Our mission for Children's Ministry is to plant the seeds of the Gospel so the children who come to Water's Edge will know His teachings, experience His love and salvation, and be equipped to surrender all while seeking one. 
We have a vision for our Children's Ministry to raise resilient disciples of Jesus Christ who will be a part of a spiritual awakening that will see Laconia, NH, so alive with the Gospel of Jesus that our schools, our families, our businesses, and our churches radiate His love and truth into our region and beyond.

What ages are included?
Our Children’s Ministry serves children 5th grade and under. We aim to create a welcoming, safe, and engaging environment where kids can learn about God’s Word in age-appropriate ways.

We provide a nursery for infants through 3-year-olds, offering a safe and caring space during service. The nursery is also available for nursing mothers who would like a quiet, comfortable place.
Is it safe?
Your child’s safety is very important to us.
  • All Children’s Ministry teachers and helpers are background checked.
  • We have a dedicated Security Team that inspects the building before anyone arrives.
  • Our Security Team also monitors both the inside and outside of the building during service.
Do children participate during worship?
About once a month, we invite all children to participate in a special Children’s Ministry moment called Bible Bag. During this time, kids come up on stage, sing a song together, and take part in a short object lesson led by one of our teachers using items from the Bible Bag. This helps kids connect biblical truth to everyday life in a fun and memorable way.
Where do children go during the sermon?
During the sermon, children 5th grade and under are invited to attend Bible Class. All children meet together in one class, led by a teacher and a helper, both of whom are background checked. Lessons are interactive and designed to engage a wide range of ages.
What should my child bring?
Nothing special! We provide all materials needed for class. Children are welcome to bring a Bible if they have one, but it’s not required.
